Squier Classic Vibe Starcaster in 3 Tone Sunburst

Squier Classic Vibe Starcaster in 3 Tone Sunburst

No doubt one of the coolest guitars the Fender/Squier brand have ever produced, the Classic Vibe Starcaster oozes class in this throwback to the very first ‘70s iteration.

If you want to stand out from the seas of Strats and Teles, the Starcaster is an absolute no-brainer. Not only does its offset body shape look great, but it’s packed with smaller design features to provide a unique playing experience.

Construction

The whole guitar is made of a rigid, sturdy Maple with a single strip of Mahogany following the truss rod down the neck. Combined with the semi hollow structure of the body, the Starcaster is a naturally resonant, fill-the-room style guitar. All eyes will be on you.

It’s embedded with 22 tall frets across a very comfortable 9.5” radius fretboard on a C shape neck. Perfect for a number of playing styles, suiting big bends, ripping leads and rhythm sections alike.

Sound

The Starcaster certainly has the chops to match the striking appearance. It’s equipped with two fat sounding Fender Wide Range humbuckers, which make plenty of appearances on ‘70s style Fender guitars - and for good reason. They’re known for their smooth output and creamy tone. You can tweak the sound accurately using the volume and tone controls individual to each pickup.

Hardware

Another unusual choice for Squier is its hard tail, stop tailpiece bridge – usually it’s a floating trem or something akin to the Tele saddle ‘ashtray’. This will help keep the Starcaster in tune and the intonation steady.
